Welcome to the Badgers Holt Inn

The Badgers Holt is a quaint traditional country pub dating back to the 1750’s. For many years it was used as the meeting point for Exmoor ponies to be driven to Bampton market, encaptured on old photographs in the pub. Located at Bridgetown, in the heart of Exmoor National Park, it is a delightful drive up the A396 from Tiverton on a road meandering along the banks of the river Exe. Across the road is a lovely cricket ground, featured in Wisden as the prettiest cricket ground in England
(short boundaries, low bounce).

The Badgers Holt is a perfect watering hole for participants of all Exmoor activities.

Hearty portions of lovely home-made food are served lunchtimes and in the evenings, including the popular Steak and Exmoor Ale pie, and the sought after Ocean pie (Fridays). The daily specials board offers a wide choice of quality meals for under £10 in addition to the traditional pub menu. A children’s menu is also available.
